Where the Sky Remembers Me..

Daily writing prompt
Describe your life in an alternate universe.

It’s a life far from the noise and nonsense of this one. Here, creativity isn’t just something you do; it’s the heartbeat of everything. Stories aren’t just told; they glow, shimmer, and come alive in colors and light. Every sunrise? A fresh story waiting to be lived, a new adventure knocking at the door, a chance to be part of something bigger, softer, and wildly beautiful.

My days don’t tick by like clockwork; they wander like me, drifting through secret caves and forests that feel like they’ve been waiting just for me to show up. The trees? They gossip in whispers, and the wind carries their stories straight to my ears if I’m quiet enough. Instead of typing or scribbling notes, I fling my memories across the sky in bursts of light, like fireworks made of feelings, glittering for anyone who cares to look up.

Time here is a bit of a trickster(like Darcifer!). Sometimes it zooms like a mad dog, other times it lingers like a cat on a windowsill (think Sir Percival!). No rush, no pressure, just the slow, sweet rhythm of waves coming and going. Every moment feels like a secret present, something precious I didn’t expect but am glad to unwrap. The folks I meet aren’t just people, they’re part of the land, wild and rooted and alive, shaped by sun and storm and salt air. We don’t just talk, we share the breath of the world itself.

And honestly? I like to think some wild part of me still lives there, waiting for the tide to pull me back when the world gets too loud.

  3. Open all the doors and see what’s inside, even those doors that don’t much look like doors.

    1. I love that, especially the ones that don’t look like doors. Those are usually the ones that lead to the most unexpected, soul-shifting places. Thank you for that reminder, Michael… I’ll keep my eyes (and heart) open. 🧑

    1. Then you’re already halfway there, Mags, the kind of place that lives in shared spirit as much as soil. If it spoke to you, it’s probably been waiting for you all along. 🧑

    1. Thank you, Mark. I hope it welcomes you gently and wraps you in stillness. Sometimes the places we dream are more real than the ones we wake to. Thank you for wandering there with me.

  6. I love that place. Perhaps one day I can wander by and sit down with you and a cup of tea (or maybe a glass of spirits). πŸ’–πŸ·β˜•

    1. I’d love that Sandy, whether it’s tea, spirits, or just shared silence under a wide sky. I bet we would have some stories to share πŸ˜‚πŸ§‘
