Cracks That Let the Truth In…

Daily writing prompt
What change, big or small, would you like your blog to make in the world?

If I’m honest, I don’t think I started my blog with some grand plan to change the world. I started it because I needed to say things I couldn’t say out loud. But as it’s grown, I’ve realized something: we need the truth. We need the raw, unfiltered stories, not the polished ones dressed up in perfection and pretense. We need reminders that pain doesn’t make us broken, that humour and heart can co-exist with trauma, and that sometimes the rebels, the black sheep, the “too sensitive” ones are the ones who see what’s really going on.

So what change would I like my blog to make?

I want it to crack something open in people. Even if it’s just a crack. I want someone to read it and feel less alone. I want someone to laugh even though their heart’s heavy. I want someone to question the systems that keep us numb and disconnected from ourselves, from one another, and from nature. I want them to remember who they were before the world told them who to be.

Big or small, if my words spark something, courage, curiosity, connection, then maybe that’s how the real change starts.

Quietly.
Honestly.
From the inside out.

Mae 🧡

    1. That’s such a perfect coincidence; clearly, the universe knows we needed to tap into this together. Sending you gentle vibes for your day, Joey x Looking forward to reading it🧡

  4. You are in the right direction. Waging war is not the aim but starting a conversation is.

    1. Thank you, Geeta. Real change rarely comes from battlefields, but from open and honest conversations that prompt people to stop, think, and see things differently. 🧡

  5. I think you already have a good start on that, Mae. Hugs

    1. Thank you Mags 🧡 Sending hugs right back to you.

    1. I understand your frustration, and I deeply respect the strength of your conviction. You’re right — looking only to the divine can’t replace our own responsibility to act, speak out, and demand justice. While I personally still find some comfort in prayer or hope beyond the human realm, I absolutely agree that silence and inaction are forms of complicity. What’s happening is unbearable, and the world must not look away. 🌻

Mae, I feel the same way, writing has become my voice too, and it’s amazing how God can use even our quiet words to touch hearts.

Thank you for being here and for being a Blessing…

    1. That’s so beautifully said, Willie. I think words—especially the quiet, heartfelt ones—have a way of reaching places nothing else can. I’m grateful we can share that gift and encourage each other along the way. 🧡
