WP, are you going to get me a million or something? 😂
Because honestly, I could put it to good use, and I don’t mean yachts or handbags. If I had a million dollars to give away, I wouldn’t hand it over to some boardroom charity with polished shoes and a marketing plan. I’d go straight to the quiet doers, the people who lift others up with no audience, no angle, and no expectation of applause.
I’d give it to the woman who checks in on her elderly neighbor every morning because no one else will.
To the man fixing up bicycles for kids who can’t afford them.
To the single mother still finding a way to pack a lunch and a smile.
To the artists, the dreamers, and the small-town misfits who pour light into the world even when they’re barely scraping by themselves.
I’d find the ones holding the line when life gets rough, the carers, the volunteers who sit quietly beside someone who’s hurting. I’d tuck envelopes under their doors with just a note: “You are seen. Keep going.”
Because I think the world changes in whispers, not roars, in hands that help, in hearts that notice, in tiny moments that don’t make the news but shift the balance of humanity just a little toward grace.
And if there was any left, I’d plant trees, save animals, and build a haven for anyone who’s lost their footing, a place with tea, music, and healing in the air. Somewhere you could sit down, breathe, and remember who you are.
A million dollars isn’t much in the grand scheme of greed, but in the right hands, it’s a revolution of kindness.
Message from Granny Frass:
“Well now, if money could talk, most of it would tell lies, but love, ah love, never needs a receipt. Spread it where it’s needed, pet, and don’t worry about the counting. Some treasures grow best in the dirt under your fingernails.”
