Nosy, Nosy, WP
Well now, WP, you’re at it again with the prying questions. “What details of your life could you pay more attention to?” Honestly, I’ve no idea where to go with this one, because if I started paying attention to every little thing, I’d be tripping over myself.
Could I pay more attention to what I eat? Absolutely, but then I’d have to part ways with chocolate, and that’s a detail I refuse to entertain. Could I pay more attention to the weeds in the garden? Sure, but the bees and butterflies are doing just fine without my interference. Could I pay more attention to the dust that sneaks across the shelves? Probably, but then again, who’s coming around with a white glove inspection?
Here’s the thing: the so-called “details” we’re told to fuss over are rarely the ones that matter. I’ve learned that the important details aren’t the spotless kitchens, calorie counts, or neat little to-do lists. They’re the unexpected laughs that bubble up in the middle of chaos, the quiet moments when someone you love really needs you, the sunlight catching on a flower you didn’t plant but somehow grew anyway.
So yes, maybe I could pay more attention to life’s details, but only the ones worth noticing. The rest? They can gather dust with the furniture.
