Well now, I haven’t a clue!
Over the years, I’ve drifted through all kinds of music, and I’ve had more “favorites” than I could count. Each one takes me right back to a memory, a place, or even a version of myself I’d nearly forgotten. Music is funny like that, it’s a time machine in disguise.
I can jump from AC/DC to Eminem without blinking, no problem there. What I can’t do is rave music. I mean honestly, is that even music or just a glorified fire alarm with a beat? No thank you.
But if I had to choose one that’s lodged itself in my head, it’s Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Free Bird. I can’t even remember what album it was on first, but I remember how it made me feel: free, defiant, a little rebellious. That’s the beauty of it, isn’t it? Albums and songs aren’t just collections of sound; they’re markers in time. And sometimes, one song is enough to carry you through a lifetime.
