Honestly, I don’t know if I have one. I’ve never been great with “habits”, at least not the social media approved ones. You won’t find me up at 5 a.m. plunging into ice baths, chanting affirmations, or guzzling kale smoothies. No thanks. My “self-care routine” would probably get me banned from those wellness podcasts.
But when I really think about it, I do have little daily things that keep me human. Like stepping outside in the morning to see what the sky’s up to, sometimes it’s a masterpiece, sometimes it’s just sulking in gray, but either way it feels more real than most of what’s online. Or that first cup of tea, which is less “ritual” and more “lifeline.” Forget mindfulness, this is survival.
And then there’s laughter, which sneaks in whether I like it or not. Usually at something absurd, occasionally at myself, and often at the circus of life in general. Honestly, I think that’s the best “habit” I’ve got: refusing to take it all too seriously. Because if you can laugh, you’ve already beaten half the nonsense.
So no, I don’t have the polished, guru-approved daily practice. I’ve got sky-gazing, tea, and a bit of cheek. And honestly? That suits me just fine.
