All Is a Lie: My Last Google Search
We’ve all got strange search histories, don’t we? Some people type in things like “banana bread recipe” or “nearest petrol station.” Sensible, practical, boring. Me? Not a chance. My search history reads more like a conspiracy theorist’s shopping list crossed with a midnight philosopher’s notebook.
So, when I peeked at it recently, the last thing staring back at me was:
“ALL is a lie – Under the Dome MOVIE.”
Not exactly normal. But perfectly me.
It started with a thought: What if we really are living under some kind of dome? Laugh if you like, but wouldn’t it explain a lot? Why do governments keep us distracted like circus clowns, feeding us soundbites while the real show happens behind the curtain? Why the sky looks suspiciously staged at times, like someone flicked the “cloud machine or the tap” on high. Why rules bend and break depending on who’s holding the microphone.
And then, of course, there’s Stephen King. His Under the Dome has haunted me ever since I read it. A small town trapped, tearing itself apart while a bigger mystery looms above them all. Fiction, yes, but doesn’t life already feel a bit like that? We’re told what to think, what to buy, what to fear… all while bumping into invisible walls we can’t see but definitely feel.
So my late-night search wasn’t just about a film. It was about reassurance. I wanted to know if other people had the same thought: that maybe “all is a lie” isn’t pure paranoia, but a breadcrumb trail worth following. Because deep down, most of us feel it sometimes, that sense that the official version of reality has gaps, like a story polished up for visitors but missing the real juicy bits.
So yes, while the world looks up how to boil an egg, I’m Googling whether or not we’re trapped in a giant cosmic snow globe.
Because when you strip it all back, maybe the strangest search of all isn’t “Under the Dome.” It’s the constant, nagging search for truth. That one never leaves the history.
Still… if you’re reading this right now, maybe you’re under the dome with me. Don’t tap the glass too hard, though; they might be listening.
