Going With the Flow…

Daily writing prompt
How do you plan your goals?

Going With the Flow… All the Way to Tea Time…

Goals?? My biggest goal is getting through the day in one piece! I usually start out with the intention to accomplish way too much, lists, plans, maybe even a grand vision or two. By lunchtime, half of it has gone sideways, and by evening… well, I’m lucky if I’ve ticked one thing off.

So I’ve stopped beating myself up about it. These days, I just set my sights on the important stuff, like remembering where I put my cup of tea and making sure I don’t answer the door in my slippers. The rest? I let it fall where it may.

I’ve learned that going with the flow doesn’t mean you’re lazy, it means you’ve got enough sense to know when life is in charge. And honestly, life gets a whole lot less complicated when you stop trying to herd it like cats.

As Granny Frass would say: “Why plan your whole day when the universe already has a better one picked out for you, with free plot twists!”

  4. So true. Plans never worked out for me. So a long time ago I stopped making plans.

    1. I hear you on that one! Same here, Mags. Life always seems to have other ideas, so I’ve learned to just roll with it. Makes things a lot less stressful. 🧡
