Daily Writing Prompt: Are you seeking security or adventure?

Well, security sounds lovely, but let’s be real, I’m not exactly the poster child for sensible life choices. Security is fine when it comes to knowing where your next cuppa is coming from and making sure the electrics won’t kill you when you flick a switch. Beyond that? Meh.

Adventure, though, now that’s my language. Bad ideas, questionable decisions, and stories you can only tell after a few drinks and a legal disclaimer. That’s where the good stuff happens. I mean, you don’t lie on your deathbed reminiscing about the time you filed your tax return early, do you?

I’ll take a bit of security where it matters (like a working toilet and someone to bail me out of trouble), but otherwise? Adventure’s where the scandal is, and scandal makes the best kind of inheritance.
