Drive-By’s & Spy Cams: What’s Really Going On?…

This just happened. And I am feeling a little rattled about it.

Well, here’s one for the family files. 20 minutes after I was out pulling a few weeds in peace, caught on the good old spy cam, who decides to roll in? Bully. Yep, pulls into the back yard, turns around, and drives out again. No knock on the door. No “hey, how’s it going?” Just a little drive-through drama for one.

Now, what exactly is that about? It’s not like we’re neighbors or casual drop-in pals. It takes him a good 20 minutes to drive here from his place. For what? A quick loop around the yard? Smelling the roses? Hardly.

Add to that, Petunia already did the big herding routine before 10 this morning. Like clockwork. And normally, Bully’s off at his little snooker night on a Saturday, so can’t drive on Sunday mornings (due to alcohol consumption). But no, today we’re doing random yard tours.

It’s not the first time, won’t be the last, but let’s call it what it is: weird. And more than a little unsettling.

These things aren’t accidents. People like Bully don’t make moves without a motive. Whether it’s to remind you they’re around, scope out who you’re with, see what you’re up to, or just mess with your head, it’s a subtle form of intimidation.

Some folks might say, “Ah, maybe he was just passing by.” No. People don’t drive 20 minutes out of their way to do a casual lap around your yard unless there’s a reason. And when it’s someone with a track record, you better believe it’s calculated.

I don’t care if you call it paranoia; it’s experience.
And if you’ve ever dealt with controlling personalities, you’ll know this move. It’s the silent threat. The reminder you’re never really off their radar.

Trust your gut. If something feels off, it usually is. People show you who they are in these little moments. Watch what they do when they think you’re not looking – it says more than any words ever could.
