What countries do you want to visit?

Daily Writing Prompt: What countries do you want to visit?

I nearly binned this prompt. Travel lists bore me stiff. “Top 10 Places You Simply Must See Before You Die.” Says who? Half of them look like a heatstroke and a credit card bill waiting to happen.

I don’t chase postcard-perfect spots. I chase ghosts. Old places with stories buried under cracked stones and crooked trees. Places where you might accidentally offend a local saint or end up drinking something unidentifiable under a sky so wide it makes your heart ache.

I love warm countries, but not the ones where tourists flock like sheep in rented sandals. No, give me the crooked alleys, the market stalls with no English menu, the old women selling herbs they swear can cure heartbreak. I want to sip dodgy wine in a crumbling bar, listening to a man with three teeth and a thousand stories.

Spain and Portugal call me back – especially the Camino. Not for religious reasons, though I’ll happily light a candle and speak with any saint who’s listening. I walk for the quiet in my head, the ache in my feet, and the way old paths remember you when no one else does.

Mexico’s another one. It hums with a kind of ancient magic I’d like to get lost in. I’ve scratched the surface, but there’s more there for me. And Machu Picchu? Not for the photo op. For the stones. The air. The ghosts. I want to stand where empires crumbled and feel it in my bones.

Who knows where else? I trust the road. The road’s never let me down, even when it nearly killed me. Besides, half the fun is not knowing where you’ll end up or who you’ll become when you get there.

  5. Hi M,
Hope all is as good as can be.
🀣🀣 How did I know… I saw the daily prompt on the sites of others, but I just had to come on your site to see your answer/post… It’s so you.🀣🀣

OK, beside the question also seemingly being an international tourist board collab inspired.
Please, WordPress, work with us to collate some free market research.
Where neither you, or us, will pay the participants for taking part, but it will help us to make a shed load of money in the near future… 🀣 OK, a little cynical there, but I couldn’t resist. πŸ˜‰
It is a question which would generate conversation, as most of us like to travel.

That being said, my response is also going to be unorthodox.
Since the madness of 2020 and the plandemic which was has activated a chain of worldwide negative events.
I still have a desire to travel, but now, I will only travel to…
    * Places, where I’m not expected to take compulsory gene altering, experimental jabs.

    * Places which don’t require me to have biometric available data or digital ID requirements.
    * Places where I’m not expected to walk around like a surgeon, hiding my face behind a mask. Which has been proven, not to prevent the contraction of those, created in a lab virus’.

    Why?
Those countries have govs, big-pharma, big biz, science and tech, all religiously coercing the people.
In their race to be at the head of the queue for the β€œnew way of doing things”, the NWO, Beast system. https://wp.me/pcw648-2Bg

Those who know, know, it’s an inevitability.
All countries will eventually go that way, no jibber-jabbing, no biometric IDs, no mask wearing, will equal no entry.
However, I’m in no hurry to be a pawn and entertain their desire to advance their excessive monitoring and state control.
Therefore, as they say in the TV show, Dragon’s Den… β€œIt’s a no from me, and I’m out”.

    1. Hi Phil!

You absolute legend – I knew you’d get where I was coming from too! πŸ˜‚ The minute I saw the mention of the plandemic, I practically spat out my tea. It’s refreshing to see people still calling a spade a spade, even when the world’s too busy trying to convince us it’s a diamond-encrusted teaspoon.

I’m with you on all of it. The old β€˜free market research’ disguised as friendly conversation starters trick isn’t fooling anyone at this stage – but hey, if it gets people thinking and talking, maybe it’s not a complete waste of bandwidth. πŸ˜‰

And yes, travel used to be about adventure and freedom. Now it feels like we’re being sold tickets to the Hunger Games. I’ll happily stay where my DNA stays mine, my face stays visible, and my choices stay mine too. Like you said… those who know, know.

Thanks for dropping by, and it’s always good to know the rebels are still out there. I am always glad to hear your insights. Hope all is well with you guys x
