More Than a Genre: Music I Feel, Not Just Hear…

Daily Prompt Response:
What is your favorite genre of music?

This one’s hard because I don’t really fit into neat little boxes, and neither does my taste in music. I’m drawn to anything that soothes my soul, stirs my spirit, or makes my inner rebel grin. It’s not about genre for me; it’s about frequency.

Some days it’s old blues, other days it’s soulful ballads or rebellious rock anthems. I’ll lose myself in tribal drums, Gregorian chants, or a piano piece that sounds like it was pulled straight from the heavens.

What matters most is the vibration, the feeling it leaves behind in my chest, the way it raises my frequency, or helps me shed the weight of the world. Music is one of the purest forms of medicine.

So my answer?
I like music that means something. The kind you don’t just hear, you feel.
