Ooh now, pull up a chair and stop acting like the world owes you something. It don’t. Never did, never will. The sooner you wrap your noggin around that, the freer you’ll be. Life’s a wild old ride – sometimes it’ll toss you into a ditch, other times it’ll hand you a warm scone straight out the oven. Take both with grace and a bit of mischief in yer heart.

Listen here, my loves, too many of you are sitting about watching what Bully’s doing with his shiny new truck, wondering who’s talking behind your back and counting’ other folk’s blessings like they’re coupons at the corner shop.

That’s no way to live! Life’s not about tallying’ up what you don’t have or gnashing your teeth at what others do. It’s about tending your own patch. Water your roots. Plant things that matter. Not just flowers, mind, plant memories, plant kindness, plant belly laughs so loud the ancestors wake up wondering what they missed.

And another thing, for heaven’s sake, stop wasting time worrying about looking perfect. Life’s messy. Hair gets tangled. Hearts get bruised. Words get said that should have stayed put. And guess what? That’s the good stuff. That’s the proof you lived. Wear your scars like a medal and your laugh lines like a storybook map.

Now, you lot, I’m watching’ from the other side and some of you need a sharp word and a cuppa tea. Get bold. Say what needs saying. Love the people who fill your heart and tell the others to jog on. And for feck’s sake, remember, no matter how dark it gets, there’s always a light in the window, even if it’s just the moon having a nosey at ya.
