Timing is Everything… Especially When There’s a Will Involved.

Episode 36 – Timing is Everything…

You know, grief does funny things to people. Some folks cry. Some hoard old teacups. Some dive into gardening. And then there’s the rare few who get an overwhelming urge to fiddle with legal documents.

Mum passed and within a month – 30 days, give or take a casserole dish, the will was changed. Amazing efficiency, really. While I was still trying to work out how to breathe without crying, someone else seemed to be sprinting through the legal obstacle course like it was a hobby.

Now, I’m not saying anything happened. I’m just noticing. Like how Bully always had a knack for being in the right place at the right time… especially if that place was behind someone’s back and that time was just before signatures were due.

Of course, every villain needs a sidekick. Enter: my sister. Loyal to the cause, fluent in silence and always ready with a smile that says, ‘Nothing to see here!’ Together, they were like the Bonnie and Clyde of inheritance planning with the added thrill of zero car chases and one mysteriously timed legal shuffle.

Funnily enough… those two got everything. Not some. Not a fair share. No, everything. Wild, right? Almost as if teamwork really does make the dream work.

Lesson of the Day:
If you’re ever grieving and someone hands you tissues with one hand and a pen with the other… maybe check what you’re signing. Especially if Bonnie and Clyde are lurking nearby with clipboards and suspiciously smug expressions.
